The Littler Star
This is the story of a little star,
That hung up in the sky,
But he thought God had placed him too fair,
And so he started to cry,
My light is so dim,not big and bright,
Like the other stars hanging there,
For when I shine there's not much light,
I really don't think it's fair.
I cannot see why I was made at all,
When there is nothing for me to do,
And than he heard and angel call,
We have a special task for you ,
Your light is small,we all agree,
But if you try your best,
And work real heard, then you will see,
You'll outshine all the best,
And so the star begin to shine,
It's brightness filled the sky,
And than he know it was a sign,
When he heard a baby cry.
For when he looked to the earth below,
He saw what the angel meant,
His light was now a heavenly glow,
To sine in the babe that God had sent.
